Met with liver nurse. Initially had fibroscan back in 2018 with F4 scirrosis diagnosis but after tests no varicella or ascited or enlarged spleen. Feb 2019 had another fibroscan saying f2 and technician said that 1/3 scirrosis 2/3 was inflammation that has recovered. So now liver nurse is saying prob not got scirrosis just fibrosis and fatty liver. Haven’t had ultra sound for 1 1/2 years so they’re gonna repeat US and fibroscan to get a median reading. Confused. Felt like they just wanted readings to be ok so they could sign me off from books. Don’t want them to miss anything. Anyone had similar experiences.

I get it, doubting thomas. Can you get it from the horses mouth? Then you can go back to ecstatic & love your Liver all the more.
I wish u well. ☺️
You have to put your faith in the medics. They do actually know what they are doing
That's simply my/our dream. If your Consultant reiterates it, yes. Happy days. No agro. 🙄
In your last post you were ecstatic that your results had come down from the initial F4/Cirrhosis diagnosis and so you should be, I am sure there are hundreds of forum members who would be delighted to learn they didn't in fact have as serious liver disease as first thought. This is the age old problem with fibroscan in that it can not tell between actually advanced fibrosis and ongoing inflammation and as a result can give a misleading false high reading - people being told they have cirrhosis when infact only have ongoing inflammation which if caught and dealt with can prevent progression of liver damage and indeed reverse it.
Even with fibrosis and fatty liver you should continue to be monitored and hopefully with your continued careful 'love your liver' type lifestyle you should be able to keep your liver as healthy as possible.
Hopefully the upcoming scans will show that your liver is continuing to mend rather than getting worse.

If it was me I'd be happy
