Post deleted for excessive swearing

I humbly throw myself upon the sacred alter of the offended, the guardians of which were so insulted they felt the need to report me to the archangels of propriety. I beg thee to forgive my excessive and spirited use of a word relating to fornication with which you are are apparently familiar as an adjective but no doubt do not extend yourself to its use as a verb given that my exuberant use of such a term, expressing unbridled joy at having received such wonderful prognosis news, resulted in your starched panties chaffing your sense and sensibility.

In sincere reflection,

Miss Liz Pottymouth

BWAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHA (Sorry eh is how the polite we of the north respond to everything....and I mean everything. I apologized to an artificial Christmas tree today after I backed into it (on foot not my car.)

in reply tocanadaliz

I was pondering over that eh? Big John said, "Never apologize and never explain--it's a sign of weakness."

Morality is the theory that every human act must be either right or wrong, and that 99 % of them are wrong. 😜

in reply to

Ofeck! You've been watching to much NCIS ... Gibbs rule! Never say sorry as it's a sign of weakness 🤣🤣🤣🤣. I disagree !

Anyway ... on a very brief note, I truly understand how Candaliz was feeling at the time of writing her earlier message , but do totally agree that this forum should be kept clean from any kind of swearing. I see loads on FB which makes my face turn blue ... then red as its normally my nephew causing me to delete 👎👎👎👎

in reply to

I agree with you in parts!! :-) Saying sorry can be a sign of strength. It can also be a sign of weakness when offered in appeasement or in the hope of a continuance of something regarded as a benefit to the apologiser.

Most of all, I admire you for recognising and acknowledging Canada Liz's feelings in this. I hope you'd agree with me too, that it's a great loss that her message which is relevant to us all on this site was lost when it surely could have been saved by some other means.

I've never felt a need to look at FaceBook so I wouldn't know what goes on there. :-)

😀

in reply toThreeSmiles

la la la fingers over ears, elbows over eyes...not going there!

in reply toThreeSmiles

You'll need to investigate it further, but likely it's hacked into and exploited in the same ways that FB has been? :-)

in reply to

My sentiments exactly. The message was strong but appropriate, Under the circumstances, like the patient It could have been mended. 👍

Not 2FB?

in reply to

Fek, I don't make a judgement on the strength or appropriateness of the post, I just observe that it's a pity to lose the post because it contained important information. I didn't see the thread when it was pulled. So I don't know if anyone openly objected on the board. In the past it has been the debacle that follows the post that has been offensive. It seems that the administrators haven't any subtle means to deal with this. We're survivors with choices.

in reply to

Agreed. I swear to you, I don't know anything.

Don't we all swear in some form or an other sometimes?

Sworn enemies are people who are completely opposed to each other.

Every little past frustration Take all your so called problems Better put 'em in quotations Say what you need to say Say what you need to saaaay...

I swear I'll be good. 😜

Keeping you to that 👍😀

I swore to myself.... 😜

I know, I know, rules is rules. The spirit of emotion with or without intent! Some go out of their way to take a fence, posts included. 2FB Twofacebook I call it. 🙄

One can't defend the indefensible - anything one says sounds self-serving and hypocritical. 🤔
