Hi Shezza123,

My itch got under control after being started on rifampicin , only thing that worked for me. As for the fatique, i have not been able to win that battle, just learnt to do things when I can.

Take care

Another thing Is alcohol, I’ve never been a big drinker but if do have a drink now especially a spirit it makes me so sick and it seems stupid but at age 43 to be told c Ac my drink any more just odd glass wine on special occasions is horrible when out with the girls xx

I know, my life changed so much. Nights out with girls are no more, i couldn't keep up with them anymore and didn't enjoy. I do have glass of wine on occasion but less each year. I use to love my nights out, now I'm the boring one 😁 xx

Good morning Shezza123,

Have you been seen by a liver specialist and started on medication? Sometimes people report that it takes several months for their symptoms to improve.

It is also important to have regular review by a liver specialist team who can advise and support you through your symptoms and prescribe medication appropriately.

I have included a link to the British Liver Trust information regarding PBC (primary biliary cholangitis)

I am sure our lovely forum members will also offer support or you could also contact the PBC foundation

Best wishes
