Unfortunately liver not suitable, but hospital has advised we stay tonight incase we get another call.
Just want to thank you all for your kind wishes and comments. Heading back to Belfast tomorrow (unless we get a call) 😊
I have to say from when we got the call at 8 this morning everything happened so fast and smoothly and we arrived at Kings about 2:30pm. (Blue lighted across London)
Anyway goodnight all and fingers crossed for us and everyone else waiting on that call ❤️

Hi
I'm so sorry the liver wasn't suitable. Let's hope you get another call soon or even better, while you are at the hospital. Take care. Love and hugs to you both Lynne xxxx
Sorry Danny, I just replied to your first post wishing you luck, and have now just seen your second post. Keep the faith, it will happen, and I hope very soon as you are now on their radar.
So so sorry the liver was deemed unsuitable and you are heading back home. I too had a similar experience on 10 Sept and air ambulances from Belfast blue lighted to Kings and then ..boom....back home again. It is a rollercoaster but what I did learn was that, despite my feelings that I would be the ONE who would run into travel issues or something would go wrong, everything that we could control went 100% perfect....except the fact I didn’t get the liver of course, but I am more in awe of the fabulous NHS 5han ever and the amazing care team in the RVH. As Fred says, once the first call comes, ye know things are moving and you could get that real call anytime. Much love and a big warm Belfast hug for your trauma xxxx
Kings are the best in the world, we are blessed to be treated there. Yes, I’m still on the list , I have auto immune PBC and was listed on 30 November last year. I have only had one false alarm on 10 Sept. I fall into that weird category where despite my liver still functioning to a certain degree, I am suffering dreadfully with the associated itch, chronic fatigue and ascites, although I have to say I am lucky compared to some with regard to my symptoms. It’s a waiting game isn’t it, your whole life is consumed by the reality of the situation but knowing we are in the hands of the experts helps a lot.
Thank you all so much for your kind wishes, we won’t get too down about it and hope we get another call soon. We had a very exciting day yesterday and experienced so many different emotions, everyone in Belfast Royal and Kings have been amazing.
I went through same thing, blue lighted up to Kings early on a Friday morning....not a match, but stayed in. I was worryingly ill.... Sunday morning a liver that matched was found!!!. That was nearly 6 years ago and I doing okay. I do understand the emotional rollercoaster ride you are going though. I sincerely hope all goes well for you , knowing Kings I am sure it will.
