Hi Leigh. just spent ages looking and trying to see if I could find anything on the subject of taking antihistamine with immunosuppressants and I can't sometimes my tongue or lips have swollen in the past eating certain foods and so I thought it would be a useful thing to know for myself. Maybe it's because the antihistamine suppresses the immune system too ? not sure, but it's the only reason I can think why there is no info on that subject. Enjoy the rest of your hol Alf.
Thanks for looking OKing Alf, thoughtful and appreciate. I just have this memory of being told we could only take cerian types. I'll call TP coordinators to be on the safe side. Holiday do far great. Thessaloniki, Metsovo (stunning) and now the monasteries of Kalambaka. Off to Skiathos on Saturday for 10 days to recover from culture overload!!!
Sounds fantastic Let me know if there's an anti hist that you are allowed to take. Looks like a beaut of a day here, What better day to clean the fish pond? Sooner be doing the monasteries
Hi
My aunt lives on Skiathos so we have spent 3 very happy hols there. Have a lovely relaxing time and if you can get a 4x4 so you can find some lovely hidden away beaches.
Patric and I were in the island last year for our honeymoon! It's a beautiful island isn't it? Were returning to the same hotel this year to celebrate the 1st anniversary of our marriage and the anniversary of my transplant on July 11th. The staff were so incredibly kind to me as I was very poorly at the end of the trip and we wanted to share our two anniversaries with them. I was transplanted only 9 days after returning home and 5 days after being listed!
Hi Poo, the active ingredient is Chlorphenamine. Just get the generic one as the branded ones have other ingredients in as well. I don't know if they are liver friendly though.my wee dog Teddy has them for his allergy. Hope this helps,
David
Are you sure Teddy/Freddy isn’t allergic to chewing your dead skin 😂😂😂
Izzy, What are you like!!!! 😠😠😠, go straight to the naughty step👉👉👉 🤣🤣🤣. Teddy is allergic to corn mites found in long grass, so as most of his walks involve playing with his friends in our local fields and woods, his Chlorphenamine keeps his scratching to the minimum. They have cut a few of the fields, because my farmer friend has his Steam Rally this coming weekend, but Teddy doesn't like the whistles. 🚂🚂🚜🚜 He's fine in the winter.

Hi, in prescribed cetirizine by transplant doctors it is available over the counter (Tesco sell it really cheap). Also taken chlorphenamine the active ingredient in piritin. Ask your coordinators what they recommend. I'm 2 years post

Hi Poobear69
We would suggest to check your query with your own doctors/ transplant team who are best placed to advise.
