I am going with my wife to the celebration of 5000 transplants on Saturday.

Any one else going ?

Perhaps a chance to see each other, I wonder if we could wear something to identify ourselves ?

Any one got any suggestions

David

Northampton is my home town, my mum & dad and brother live there so I still visit a bit. Have a soft spot for it! Have fun at the celebration!

We really wanted to go, but we’re too busy working.

Since my transplant we moved to the the Isle of Wight, and have a B&B

Have a great time

We're just up the road in Norton, near Yarmouth. Quite often in the Horse and Groom. Fancy meeting in there for coffee one day to compare notes?

I'm there. I'm doing the afternoon lectures but will be there all day. I'm helping Martin Searle on the Birmingham Adult Transplant Sport Team stand in the morning. I'll be the one without the brummie accent, lol.

in reply toKristian

Would loved to have been there to support you all but already booked up this weekend. Maybe another event if you keep me updated as I'm presuming you know dates well in advance!

Bye for now!

Trish

in reply toKristian

What bit are you lecturing on...

Just manning a stand in the morning. Attending the lectures in the afternoon, not giving one, lol. Maybe I should get a presentation ready just in case🤣🤣

in reply toKristian

Sorry - I was being so rude - it’s my appalling SOH - I knew what you meant. I am naughty at times!

Oh, and by the way, the event is at Aston Villa not Everton. You may be a bit lonely if you go to Everton 🤣🤣🤣

Opps corrected I blame HE

Hi David, back in April l approached the volunteer group leader at the QE and asked if the Liver Transplant Supporters Group could have a table. This is for those guys who came onto the ward on a Wednesday evening and sit and chat with patients. I understand this has now been agreed so you'll have a chance to meet up with Alan Hyde and Maureen, and others on the day. I'll be there too.

I shall be wearing my "Liver Transplant Survivor Tshirt", and a white jacket (as seen in my profile pic). Hope to see you all there.
