Just be careful to check if they use mesh as a patch, I have one for my inguinal hernia, and it sometimes gives me gip😢.

Hubby had his hernia operated on - not a Bertha, just a itty bitty, but it was successful. If I remember correctly the big concern I had was anesthesia and his liver, but the doctor was aware and said he had done many with that issue.
