Nope, they look normal. Why are you asking?

Market234 profile image
Market234 in reply toTT-2018

I have fatty liver disease

The doctors who gave you the diagnosis are the best people to advise you to adopt a healthy lifestyle. They will have taken a blood test and measured your bilirubin. The level will determine the extent of any jaundice, I would suggest that you ask them in any subsequent appointments. Posting pictures of yourself is pointless without access to your medical records.

I think what may be useful for you is to take one photo when you think they’re yellow, and another photo when you think they’re okay. That way you’ll be able to cross reference the photos and hopefully see there is no real difference. But if there is.... a trip to the doctors would be in order and you’ll have the photos to take with you to show the doctor. If you beleive you have, or fear you have, a problem with your liver you really do need to discuss this with your doctor sooner rather than later.

Nope, get a grip.

in reply to

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣. Yes get a grip!!!!

I don't think it's very kind to take the p...s out of someone who is worried about their health, however trivial or misguided you think the question is. We're here to help one another, not to mock.

in reply toDarsmum100

Not when you ask the same question over and and over!!!!!! 😡. It’s actually making those who really have jaundice feel bad. I stick to what I say. It’s not funny anymore. Go to the Doctor especially when you have asked this panel so many times !!!! Too bad their is no Dislike button.. I am very positive and help anybody !

Market234 in reply to

Ive asked this question twice. I dont think thats excessive at all.

in reply toMarket234

Go to your doctor he will tell you for sure if you have jaundice!

Darsmum100 profile image

No doubt he will consult his doctor. But we shouldn't be deterring people from seeking advice on this forum by belittling their anxieties. There are ways of gently guiding people onto the right path without making them feel foolish for asking the question. People with anxiety often need more than one assurance that all is well.

in reply toMarket234

I recently found out you change your username and have asked this question a lot. That’s why I said go to the Doctor and get a professional answer. I am not being rude just Honest. These are not doctors on this panel. Yes people ask for advice and we all like 2nd opinions but over and over is not fair to others.

I have never used this site in my life so you are COMPLETELY wrong about that. You are being rude. Dont say anything if you dont want to answer my question.

Market234 profile image
Market234 in reply to

I also never said anything is funny. I have been diagnosed with fatty liver disease and was curious to see if people can see yellow in my eyes cause my bulirubin is slighty elevated. If you think this is such a joke then you shouldnt say anything at all and ignore the post.

in reply toMarket234

Hi Market234

We do appreciate that you are concerned about your eyes but no one on this forum can medically assess you.

If you have fatty liver disease and are worried about any associated symptoms we would suggest that you perhaps make an appointment with your own GP and ask for an assessment, they can maybe do some bloods to check your levels.

We are here to support everyone concerned about their liver but as the guidelines say, we do ask that photos are not posted looking for comments as no one is qualified to accurately advise you.

Take care

Trust1

in reply toMarket234

No one said it was a joke. Further you also made it seem as if it was nothing to do with your health as you said basically in one of these posts that you were asking as a matter of self conciousness over appearance of them only. You did not specify any of the information initially that came out later in your follow up messages.

I think this post has been answered well enough by now and has been clearly stated that we cant comment on photos by rules of this forum regardless of what colour your eyes appear. Thats just a matter of policy on the forum. So all that being said keep up with your doctor because if you do have fatty liver and it is causing your billirubin to increase than whats more important to address is the staging of your disease instead of the colour of your eyes as jaundice is typically a symptom of more advanced disease and cirrhosis. Its not something found in early stages of NAFLD.

Good luck with your health and to you as well.

Thank you Phoenix. 💕. I am done arguing my point. All I said was go to the Doctor and find out. And I got nailed from every direction. It was my opinion and we are all entitled to one . Wow 😮. And I have seen those 👁 balls before so I questioned it. 😱😱😱😱😱.

Trust me, if your eyes were yellow you wouldn't need to ask. Not only were my eyes yellow, my skin was as well. If in doubt get to your GP. Don't hesitate.

Thank you for your post however this is not a medical forum and we would recommend you seek specific advice from your own medical practitioner. This forum is here to share experiences and provide support to each other and we would advise against posting pictures.

Many thanks for your ongoing support and understanding.

If you look in to anyones eyes in the corners and at the bottom under the lid where all the blood vessels are you'll probably find that most people's will look like yours. Its probably something to do with the way the red of the blood vessels looks against the white background. I don't know really. Perhaps have a look into others eyes to see. I suggest you dont do that to strangers though. Your eyes may end up black and blue instead, lol.

Ask your Facebook friends.

I don’t mean to laugh but this guy is always doing this. I think this site is for more important questions then putting his eye balls 👀 here all the time. And asking the same question over and over. Over it

Hey my eyes are green with a gold ring around the pupil so one could never tell. Did you know that jaundice (well, bilirubin really) builds up in the skin and causes a massive itch?

Thank you to all the people giving a yes or no answer like i asked for.

Hey Market! Personally, I have Gilberts Syndrome (as well as an autoimmune liver disease). I’m always Jaundice. My bilirubin is sometimes 2, sometimes it’s 4.8. The only way to know for sure is to get blood work.

However, I just want to say I completely understand you asking if your eyes look yellow. I constantly ask my husband how my eyes look (an anxiety thing). Last week I probably asked him everyday for 5 days straight. With this being said, I can understand if you don’t have anyone around to ask wanting to post on here and ask us. No one on here could give you an exact answer of course because it’s a picture and photos are not accurate. BUT I understand you just wanting to know if someone else thought they looked yellow. I often ask my husband to look at my eyes to help me DECIDE whether to see my hepatologist for bloodwork or not. If he says they look very yellow I go.

I am not offended at all that you asked this and think people were quite harsh on you. We all go through things and need help/ support sometimes!

My advice: ask someone if your eyes look yellow (maybe a friend or someone at work). If they say yes, I’d go get some bloodwork!

God bless you,

Taylor
