Thank you to everyone who took the time to reassure me for 1st assessment at QE Birmingham it was gruelling? Went to old hospital and me and my partner were meeted and greeted. My obs showed high temperature and they couldnt get the 12 bottles of blood so they called a doctor. He got the blòod and issued antibiotics. Then it was over to new hospital, on crutches with temperature. Going from dept to dept I was fit to collapse. At the end a nurse in x ray took pity on me and grabbed a wheelchair to main entrance. Left Birmingham at rush hour back to Wales. Had phone call 2 days later asking me back for part 2 the following week. Too short notice for partner so going on 17th and 18th.
Here we go again, julie xx

I'm not at that stage yet but wish you the very best if luck with your assessment. It sounds really tough, I've got other conditions which I'm sure you have too, this must surely take its toll on you. Sending lots of caring hugs to you. Lynne 🤗🤗🤗xxxx

Hi Julie glad you survived 1st part of assessment. You and I are leading parrellell lives, as I have my 2nd part assessment at King's next week, 15,16,17th April. I'll be thinking of you and sending positive vibes, hoping you get the opportunity for a healthy future.
Good luck with Part 2 Julie. It's actually quite an enjoyable couple of days where you can ask questions & learn a lot. You will see a surgeon anaethetist liver nurse, someone who's already been through it. I got my surgery only days after these 2 days. Jan x
Good Luck Julie, Hope your 2nd Assessment goes well for you Also hope your feeling better now and are over your infection. Will be thinking of you, and fingers are crossed. Love Lynda xxx
