Hi Brett So at least Miss Para is under surgical review (is that right?). So no more Chinese takeaways it's down to the healthy stuff to make sure you get that op!!
Flipping heck Bob, Bertha, Para, Brett or whatever your name is today!
Why on earth are they taking so long to sort Para out? Silly question I know - because you wonโt know the answer, but Iโm surprised you seem (maybe not I bet) s relaxed about it. Donโt think I could keep cool (thatโs not physically cool but you know what I mean!).
My stomach was always flat now it looks like a huge beer belly. I hate it. Itโs killing my spine.
They are worried about my portal vein being so close to my bits hanging out and they said I will go decompensated after the operation. Thatโs the worry.
I really want it fixed! I can cope with decompensated again as this time I will know Iโm decompensated.
If I get it and live then I want physio to see if I can walk unaided again. No more wheelie walker woo hoo.
Iโm gonna ring the liver nurse on Monday to give them a nudge.
I got Wernicke encephalopathy thru booze before I got cirrhosis thru booze. Wernicke encephalopathy Is known as ataxia it effects your legs and balance. I can get five free physio a year because Iโm disabled. Iโm going to see if it can help be to walk again. Well it costs me nowt so itโs worth a try innit?
Interesting Shirley. Never heard of WE! When ill and having frequent HE my legs were always heavy even in between episodes! Also my balance was so bad I couldnโt stand up when dark unless I put my hand on a wall or something and fell over backwards when looking upwards (dark or not!). Trouble is that even after the TP nothing has changed โน๏ธ๐๐ป. Iโm putting it down to needing a back op (spino something). which I canโt have until 27th August - one year TP anniversary ๐๐.
I currently look like Marge, minus the blue beehive, although I'm thinking that might be a good look for me!!
Pleased to see that otherwise your bloods look good!! I looked up paraumbilical hernia, it just seems to say its one that older people get ( bloody cheek), rather than one developed in childhood which is referred to as just umbilical hernia. Although they are the same thing, they have different causes.
I'm keeping things crossed that as you are well compensated, the surgeons will sort out Miss para for you, and you can get back to the beach flashing your abs to all the lovely young men!! Along with hubby obvs!!
My hernia is HUGE!! There are pics of it on here. It covers my whole stomach. Itโs not just the usual golf ball size. Most doctors who see it for the first time always say itโs the biggest they have ever seen and they are not talking about my wing wang either ๐ ๐
Warmest regards ๐
Shirley
Brett, I wish you all the luck in the world for you to have that surgery you so desperately need and deserve. But what the hell are we going to have a laugh and joke about when shes finally gone eh ?? ๐ค xx
