Thoughts today of my donor, his family and all the staff at Addenbrookes ❤️.
Generally I feel like i’m doing well, been back working a 45 hour week for a couple of months now and just moved into a flat to start living independently again (living with your mother aged 49 is only good for a short time). Get tired after work and usually in bed by 10 but it’s a good feeling to earn my own money again, I feel less of a transplant patient as every day goes on.
Just one thing, I have clinic next week and i’m going to ask to be put on the list to have a libido transplant as mine appears to not be working.
Best of luck to you all

Hi Will. Congratulations on your 1st liverversary. It's good to hear that you are doing well and back at work. May you have many, many, many more years of good health. I am an Addenbrooke's trasplantee 6 months. All the very best. Alf
Congrats... Just think how fantastic you will feel on your 2nd anniversary. Well done, recovery is very hard work.
Well done to you. You should be very proud of yourself being back in work. Take care Lynne
Congratulations Will, it's a mile stone, and its good to hear that you fit enough to return to work. However, the libido is cause for concern.
I too had the same problem. But l was fortunate, as I am a child of the 60's. With the help of Austin Powers, l was able to go back to the 60's and get my mojo back, from the very naughty Dr Evil.
Seriously though, this is one of the side effects of having a liver transplant. However, l believe that this isn't always the case with every fella, and l'm not sure what the recommended treatment is.
If you do happen to find a course of treatment, the please post, as l dare say others out there who would be interested.
Good luck.
The time does pass very quickly, I am 17 days away from my 1st anniversary.
Back to good form, but still thinking of the donor and the special chance I have had.
Well done
David
Hi Will,
Congratulations on your progress!
It sounds like things are going well for you for the most part and perhaps the other part will improve along the way - fingers crossed
