ESLD, GALL BLADDER, PORTALVEIN THROMBOSIS

Poor Peeps has gone rapidly downhill since Christmas, not that he was ever well. He has slept more and more and the pain has been unbearable. Ultrasound last week was OKish, but CT yesterday showed gall stones in the bile duct and his surgeon says there is a 30% chance of killing him if he tries to operate so not an option. His gall bladder is very inflamed and he is considering stents to deal with the varices. He has also suffered from a portal vein thrombosis for the past three years, he is dreadfully swollen, and has tried Warfarin and Rivaroxaban to no avail. We are starting injections today. At 81 I am still very lucky to have him but it does not make it any easier and he still has such a huge appetite for life. Any thoughts, suggestions or support would be much appreciated, Anne.
