I got a phone call today from Salford Royal hospital to start my laser treatment for my spider naevie tomorrow ๐ฑ I think it must be a cancellation as it was at 11.30 they rang me. Has anyone had laser treatment? I'll let you know how I get on.
I'm feeling a bit shattered and my back is sore as we decorated the living room yesterday and today I had to put all my ornaments back. We always say that my husband does the decorating but I measure the drop, I work out the pattern match, I cut the lengths and I paste it. He puts it on the wall ๐ admittedly he does the woodwork and emulsioning because I am rubbish at painting, my hand isn't steady enough. I won't be suggesting decorating anywhere else, I was crying in pain last night and my restless legs were doing a rhumba ๐
We always did the decorating for the family but unfortunately those days are gone.
Take care all. Deb

Hi
I've not had the laser treatment, hope it goes ok.
Where do you live , I'm only asking cos of where your appointment is. I live in castleton near Rochdale. Love and hugs Lynne xxxx
Debs Debs adebs - how on earth can you do all that. Wow you should be resting - at least now you will have to if laser treatment is tomorrow! How many sessions, or all in one go?
Try not to fall asleep - wait No - do fall asleep. Youโll feel better ๐
Hi Lynne and Miles, I live in stockport near Manchester. My local hospital is a ten minute drive away whereas Salford Royal is about 40 minutes and I am going by myself tomorrow as my husband is working.
Apparently it will take about 4 sessions but I don't think that will zap all of them. I pointed out a brown mark on my face and the doctor just said "that's just an age spot. We won't treat it" ๐๐๐ that's me told then. Deb
Couldnโt your husband get compassionate leave - my wife has had loads - evertime I go to clinic etc, but to be fair, she always โmakes up the timeโ when Iโm home alone.
4 sessions - well they mean business donโt they ๐
Hi Deb. Hope all goes well for you tomorrow. Good that the appointment came through quickly for you, beats watching for the post or waiting for the call as happens more often than not. All good wishes. Alf.
Hi
Good luck with appointment, hope everything goes well. Love and hugs Lynne xxxx
Thanks Lynne. I'm a bit down at the moment as miles has left the forum. I'll miss his banter, he always lifted my mood and made me smile. He was also genuinely interested in people and always welcomed newbies.
I'll let you know how I get on.
I know what you mean, he just seemed to know how to cheer us up!!, Hope you go on ok. Love and hugs Lynne xxxx
Not going to fib, it does sting like hell, but it is worth it. Your face will look a mess, I looked like an extra from Cats!. It takes a few days for the swelling and bruising to subside, but it does work . Good luck , this is definitely a 'no pain,no gain' scenario. Salford Royal is the the very best for dermatology. I go back in March 2019. I want an update on my liver before trying any more top shelf treatments for my psoriasis.Hazelx
It all went well today. I had 3 naevie treated on my face and about 15 on my chest. The laser guy said that I will probably need 3 to 4 treatments three months apart. The worst part was the car park. Cars were backed up all along the main road and the actual car park was like a Mexican standoff with drivers fighting for a parking space.
Glad it went well, apologies for not mentioning the best place to park. Next time go to the council car park on side of the hospital. If you are coming from the Eccles side go past the main entrance car park on your left. Turn right at the lights. Go to the next set of lights and entrance to car park is on your left. You can access dermatology from this side . Cross over the road and go right, past oxygen storage and bike store on your left. turn left and you will see a red door. Through this door and Dermatology is the first door on the left. This car park always has spaces and it saves you a long walk and no major battle to park. Don't forget change for machine. Hazelx
Thanks Radnor. I actually parked on a tiny little public car park to the right of the hospital next to a few shops including a subway and chip shop. It was free but you can only park for an hour. I have a blue badge so could park all day. When I left a parking man was issuing a ticket on a car, so be careful if any of you park there without a blue badge unless you know you'll be less than an hour. I only parked there as I would have been late if I'd tried to get onto the main car park.
