I know that muscle cramps are associated with cirrhosis. I've got fibrosis, Can it be associated with this stage of liver disease? Reason I ask is I decorated my daughter's bedroom today and afterwards my hand was totally locked...dont know if its because i was painting for a long time or it's a symptom... grateful for any input.

It is worth checking it out with your gp as they may be able to suggest something For the cramps or put your mind at ease. unfortunately they can be a symptom of cirrhosis however it sounds unlikely in your case and may just be due to you holding your hand in a certain position for a long time painting . I have cirrhosis and awaiting a transplant and I get terrible cramps frequently in my feet , which lock and then I can’t move, this has only been a recent addition to the list of symptoms I have so if it’s just the one incident that you have experienced I wouldn’t worry .
Ive heard tonic water with quinine in it is supposed to help cramps in general, Ive not tried it ( can’t stand the stuff!) but may be worth a try !
