Well, just back from my musculoskeletal ultrasound with the consultant and he has highlighted that areas of the cartilage on my right hand rib cage are c.50% larger than the left hand side through inflammation - a condition called costochondritis.
Up until now I have been convinced that the pain was liver related but during the scan the consultant pushed and prodded my ribs and has fully recreated the pain - which still hurts a lot!
Has anyone heard of this before? Any thoughts?
Cheers!

I used to get this a lot and it mainly came down to me not drinking enough water resulting in my body taking all the fluid it could to keep my organs functioning. (That was how it was explained to me, in simple terms.) Thus making all the connective tissues dry and they got inflamed so I started drinking a lot more water and that has remedied it. Coffee, tea and alcohol all take fluid away, dehydrate you, which is why I drink water. I hope you feel better soon
