End of a chapter?

Hi all, I’m just back from my fibroscan which indicated no liver abnormalities with a mean score of 6 across 20 readings.

That now makes it 5 normal lfts, advice from 2 consultants, 2 ultrasounds and a fibroscan and no sign of liver problems as the cause of my right upper quad pain.

3 months of abstinence and avoidance of medication plus lots of exercise, a clean diet and 8kg weight loss haven’t made the pain any better and I am starting to believe there maybe another explanation and I have been referred to a pain specialist for further investigation.

Thank you for all your kind messages over the last few months.

Am I right to think I am in the clear from a liver perspective or should I continue to press for investigations?

Thanks Laura - so good that you were the first to respond!

Do you think I really can stop worrying now? I hope I can but wonder how easy it will be to get it out of my mind.

I do know one thing though, I will not be going back to my old drinking habits!

Thanks again for you messages xx

Yes I really think you can stop worrying. Just carry on with laying off the booze and continue with your healthy lifestyle. They will get to the bottom of what that niggling little pain you still have and will easily be sorted I'm sure. Now chill out and enjoy life. Worrying is a negative emotion and serves no purpose. You've done all the right things. Be proud be happy.... 😁🏋️‍♀️xxx
