3 months ago I was diagnosed with NFLD/NASH. Fibroscan revealed minimum scaring rated at a 1 according to my gp. Since then I have consistently eaten healthy (Mediterranean) and vigorously exercise. I do not drink. I've lost about 18 pounds and now at my idea weight, I'm fit, and as of last week my ALT is back in normal range. I'm experiencing numbness and tingling in arms, fingers, drowsiness, occasional headaches. Has this been the normal symptom's for anyone? Also, do anyone know the average progressive rate to cirrhosis? Just can't seem to find much about it online. Thanks for your shared experiences and imput.

Good day and congrats on making a lot of healthy life changes I applaud you. Keep doing what you are doing, listen to your doctors advice and don't loose focus on you goals . I have come to believe that once the contributing factor that was causing your liver inflammation is resolved then there is no reason your liver can't recover and never reach the cirrotic stage.

Great job

Great news ! well done! Im unfortunately at the cirrhotic stage, i have been ten years next week, i stopped drinking, but i did unfortunately pick up when my dad passed in 2012, yes silly me ! But i thought as my liver function tests were ok then it would not matter. I did stop drinking 4 yrs ago now . Still going strong so to speak.. i dont see why your liver wont regenerate itself if you continue the fab work .😊.. best wishes. Linda

Hi Bikerguy54,

How wonderful that you have made so many positive changes in your life.

As to your symptoms - they could be part of the liver disease or something not related. It seems that you should call your doctor and make an appointment, especially since these are new symptoms. I have heard that one part of your diagnosis has to do with insulin resistance so maybe the doctor will run a fasting blood test to check your blood sugar amonng other things.

I'm a believer in at least seeing your doctor when new issues pop up and if you are not satisfied that this doctor is paying attention perhaps ask for a 2nd opinion if at all possible.

Best wishes to you going forward and continuing to do well,

Mary
