Hospital just called it took a while but all seems to have gone ok, huw now in intensive care. The relief Is overwhelming knowing we are now on the better side and maybe able to start planning xxxx

He’s doing very well, just been taken off sedation and had tube taken out.

When he is back on the ward get him out of bed and sat up in a chair, he may not thank you at the time but he will later, with enough morphine he will be fine. Happy for you both ☺️

My advice is get some help, make sure if he has morphine driver he is dosed up, get bed as upright as he can bare and then pivot round, you have to sensibly gauge if it is doable or not, oh and the same for getting back in. You need to make sure all lines are as out of the way as they can be. The next day I refused to get out of bed although I was rejecting my liver, which is my excuse. If he complains tell him to mam up as I have man flu currently and that's worst than child birth....😳

Just to let you know Dulux, huwie managed to sit at the end of the bed this morning.His pain is sill not completely under control yet, so doing the chair tomorrow 😬😯xxx

That's brilliant, just let him take moving at his own pace, I remember feeling like I was going to pass out when they were trying to swing my legs round to get back in bed. The better his mobility the shorter his stay 😉
