I am now 4 months dry. Used to have bouts of flu, ie sneezing, itching in the eyes and ears, they've subsided since. What can this be?

I started with this about 14 years ago and after intense investigation they could only come up with sensitive membrane throughout my nasal passages and respiratory system. I had several bouts of ear infection one year, don’t know why. It’s annoying but not life threatening and I take an inhaler and nasal spray and my dr prescribed an antihistamine, which I have now reduced to every other day. I did have some polyps removed from my nose about 10 years ago and it settled down for a while. It’s not hay fever, but similar at any time of the year and no obvious reason why it should happen. I kept a food diary for a long while, but did not establish pattern. It might be worth doing that? Could be pet hairs, perfume, dust, feathers, paper. I remember we moved offices at one time and I had a clear out of old papers in my filing cabinet and had a very bad bout and had to be on steroids. I have read that it is possible to be affected by handling and reading the newspaper.....one chap said he dusted their daily newspaper before his wife read it to take off loose ink?? Good luck. JX
