Nodules

I've had a couple of Ultrasound scans and have Cirrhosis of the liver. I recently had an MRI scan and the result was that they said I had some 'nodules', which may be a sign of the liver trying to heal itself. Does anyone have any more knowledge re. 'nodules'?
