My sister age 54 has cirrhosis, Ascites, jaundice etc . Was hospitalized for 4 weeks. Getting large volumes drained every 2 weeks. Does anyone have a feel for what her survival would be?

I was diagnosed with Ascites 08/16 & had my first drain 10/16. I too was in hospital for a month in the Dec/Jan as my kidneys didn't like Spironalactone & got infection after infection. After 5 drains of between 8 & 14 litres my kidneys calmed down & with a salt/liquid restriction & the Spiro my Ascites is under control for now. My last drain was last Feb (thank god). I didn't have jaundice tho. I hope your sisters condition calms down soon x
