I have bronchiectasis for a long time with repeated but not disabling crises, then A return to normal life. But the last two years I experienced two severe crisis following colds or catching cold. I have also become very resistant to antibiotics. Now I have been ill for the past 6 weeks, still resisting medication, I have sort of recovered up to a point but the chest is still not normal, I cough up phlegm and I feel weakened, unable to go back to normality. I've also proven dangerously allergic to the only effective medication that can arrest the cough (paracodina). My doctor does not recommend hospitalisation for now, nor exposure to a variety of patients, say waiting for an X-ray or similar, because in my state of weakness I may be exposed, again, to other patients' colds or flu or similar.
So I feel sort of trapped and would like some advice , if possible.
Thank you.
