For the last ten years my ALT is double the normal range

I don't have any liver dieses and I never developed any symptoms during this time.

I scanned regularly for hepatitis , did exercises reduced fatty foods

But it has never come to normal range

However only ursoflak lowers it when I used but again goes back once I stop its use

Never used any drugs alcohol etc

Can't understand

Kindly help me with your suggestions!

Thanks

I’m exactly the same. At first my ALT was 4 times what it should be. With medication it’s now double. I’ve had scans, lots of different blood tests, I don’t eat fatty foods as I get IBS do anything fatty goes through me. Doctor is quite baffled too. Apparently there is a test to see why as she would like to find out what is causing it rather than just keep treating the symptoms but it’s not available where I live. She’s written to a few consultants but to no avail. It’s been like it for 10 years. So I understand exactly how you feel!
