Half way through limbo waiting to see specialist. All my appointments and care regarding previous things have been really good here in Canada. This is the first time I've had to wait a while for something. Apparently the specialist is top notch though. She's away for a week but when she gets back will call for cancellations.
It's killing me all this waiting and some of my symptoms are really bugging me / making me worried.
If this is lifestyle related I keep thinking what I should have done differently in my life. How stupid I've been. How I've screwed things up.
I keep busy cause I have a good job and a little girl but my mind is still always racing. I just don't know what to do sometimes.

Hi, not knowing what illness is your lifestyle may not be the problem. Autoimmune diseases just happen nothing can change that. I was never a drinker or smoker but my liver went and I ended up having a transplant. I am now awaiting the result of a biopsy from a tumour in my bowels. A change in my lifestyle would not have changed anything, they just happend. I hope all goes well for you..
Hi ronin , things happen in life ; regardless of if it's through self Infliction , lifestyle or any other reason of which there are many .I too often sit and think why did no one warn me of what I now know was full blown alcohol dependancy to cope with an abusive marriage and a management job .but here I am over 9 YRS cirrhosis with insomnia , lethargy ; recently diagnosed with stage T_2.1 osteopenia in my hip .so now I am restricted due to pain .
don't ever think of the what ifs etc.. if it is lifestyle then that can be worked upon . try to remain positive .we are all similar on here for one thing or another .
What's done is done , no point in regretting your choices learn from them by all means . Healthy eating , exercise and a positive attitude will help you loads .
