Just to name a few things.I am so tired.i never new your bones could ache so much.and every night I have tremors and mini seizures.i have never been so tired afraid and lonely.

Everything's swollen I have put on 9 kilos since I started treatment. Is this all normal? Any replies would be much appreciated xx

I think you need to get some medical advice and somewhat urgently, these very much sound like the types of things that Hepatic Encephalopathy can bring along and if you are having the tremors and seizures this is somewhat of a medical emergency.

Also the sudden weight gain of that magnitude could signal the onset of ascites - again a medical emergency.

Please alert your medical professional and get some advice and treatment.

think you should go to doctors... that doesn't sound right... the toxins which build up can cause thinking.. processing problems hepatic encephalopathy causes memory problems etc etc... best would be to see liver consultant.

best wishes cazer.

Morning Cathy-Anne, I'm so sorry you feel so awful. You didn't say if you have been to a physician yet or taking medications. I'm on prednisone and many of your symptoms are side effects of prednisone. I suffered more from the medicines side effects than the actual disease. As others have said, you need to talk to a physician.

Hi Cathy-Anne

I don't know about the meds I'm not on them. I get exactly those symptoms and muscle pain all of the time for a non liver caused condition. Just saying, because I don't know what is causing your condition but your g.p. should have a better idea what is wrong but he/she will need your help.

My advice is:

1. write down exactly what you are feeling.

2. When you feel each symptom.

3.Any issues or things you may have done before they start up or get worse. E.g. meds taken, food eaten, too much exercise in one go, staying still sitting too long, etcetera, etcetera.

4.How long each problem lasts when a symptom starts to happen. Also how long ago did each symptom start. Did they start at the same time. Did anything happen beforehand e.g. start/ change of strength of meds. Injury etcetera.

5. Level of pain. If it varies etcetera.

6. Any specific area of the body that is worse than others.

7. Problems with sleep patterns at night.

8. Problems with any other bodily functions.

9. Anything else that seems weird.

I say that because I know if I over push myself certain things are almost guaranteed to happen. It also helped me identify what meds I had problems with when I spoke to my g.p.

It also helped me to give my g.p. detailed information in as short a time as possible. We don't have long for appointments with them.

When you have done that, see your g.p. to start your search on what is causing the problems. I'm not talking about big delays in seeing the g.p. These days for some, getting to see a g.p. can take a couple of days/weeks. That is more than enough time to do a quick bullet point list with brief details.

Only you know how worried you are or how urgent you feel you need to see your g.p.

Good luck and try not to worry too much, and I know that is easier said than done.

Hi Cathy-Anne

Forgot to say, that I personally would treat it as urgent if I was you, as the symptoms you are having can feel quite frightening. Not knowing is horrible. It may or may not be serious that is up to the medics.
