Private scans are available at any private hospital but you go has to refer you.

GP only has to refer you if it is done on the NHS. If paying for it privately, you can do what you want.

Sorry but my hubby has had lots of private scans and tests but the private hospitals will not entertain you unless you have a GP referrral

Spire Park Hospital in Solihull offers private fibroscan appointments. Its better to be referred by your GP under the NHS but i think thats tricky. My private health care paid for mine but only allowed one. I believe privately they are around £350-400. Hope that helps
