Hi everyone I'm one week on no drink, I think I am a functional alcoholic but I am hoping to change that. Thank you for letting me join your group.

Hi All My name is John a recovering alcoholic a day at a time no alcohol for 18+ years. Have long nown I have Cirrosis. Feb spent two weeks in hospital spontanous bacterial perrintitis. Trigger is unknown but paracetomol + neurofen doubled up over a period is probable suspect. Still on meds including anti biotic. Found this site to understand more about my now daily fatigue. Sometimes cannot even use computer, no interest, depressed and concerened. Still assesing for transplant list. My God this last episode has floored me. It helps to be not alone Thank you for this site.

Hello backontrack. Well done you for not drinking. Do you have any liver issues that gave you the reason to stop or if you haven't then well done again for not waiting till you do. I too was heavy drinker and in the back if my mind I knew I was doing damage but it didn't stop me till I got cirrhosis. You must have some worries to have stopped yourself so there are plenty of people hear to share you story with.

Hi thanks for the response, I think I have liver issues as I get pain, a dull ache on the right side, I haven't turned yellow but It feels uncomfortable. I'm tired of drinking and feeling rotten

well done your one week hopefully turns to one year and so on i know its hard i still struggle to this day just take it in your stride you can do it .the very best of luckx
