Cirrohsis problems

Was looking on this site...ive been diagnosed with cirrohsis. I have a umbelical hernia, gird and cant eat when im drinking. I suffer from depression as well which is double trouble..they antagonize each other.ive lost a lot of weight when i relapsed after a year and a half sober. Does this sound like asites setting in? Is there any hope for healing my liver if i stay sober. I also have hep c which compounds the problem. Ive seen both a gi doc and a liver specialist. Both diagnosises were very different. Gi doc said 95% cirrohsis. The specialist said something about a number scale where 6 and under u dont have it. He said i was at7. The gi doc did do ultrasounds and a lot of other tests. Any input i would appreciate. My stomach doesnt even want the alcohol. I force myself to eat at least bites at a time.

Thanx

hi froggy it sounds like you are at a turning point liver wise, small changes to your lifestyle could see you living well for many more years. pills, diet, no booze. you can get all the info from the BLT

it always sounded trite but it really is one day at a time and if that is to much split the day up more one hour or blocks of 10 mins good luck

It sounds like your Dr. Wth the scores is talking about your MELD score. Do you live in the US , as its not used in most day day terms in the UK. Stay away from the alcohol , its like pouring petrol on a fire with a damaged liver . If you get your Hep C treated soon , you may find that your number goes down and you may be even lucky enough to go to low enough numbers where you are not considered cirrhotic . You are at the low end of the cirrhosis scale , so that could be feasible as happened to others once they have reached SVR . Good diet , exercise, which will help your depression , and positive thinking . Good luck .
