Scar on my liver

Hi, a recen ct scan has shown a small scar on my liver. Had a blood test today and another MRI scan is to follow. Very concerned as to what it could be. Nurse informed me it was only 1cm but what does that mean? Is it the start of something more serious.

The MRI will be able to answer your question as to what the 1cm 'scar' is. I know its difficult to wait, but until then its just guesswork.

Have you had a transplant? I'm in a situation similar to you. They've found some form of texture and a few lesions and I will be having an MRI on Saturday. I had my transplant nearly 2 years ago now.

The MRI should be able to answer. It could be a lot of things. They mentioned calcification to me which is a possibility. Hopefully it isn't anything serious. Try and wait for your MRI. I haven't actually been worrying because my LFTs are good.

Need another MRI this time with colour contrast for the consultant to give me a firm diagnoses of what this small lump could be.
