Macrocytosis
Yes I get variable blood cell sizes on my phlebotomy results but nobody has ever explained what it means in terms of my condition. Its not been linked to the drug as far as I know, but if you have found a connection that will explain it in my case!
Thank you for your reply, Bolly. I have been diagnosed with macrocytosis and anaemia. Nobody has mentioned it being due to the Azathioprine, I just saw it on a list of side effects. If it keeps showing on my blood test results the specialist is talking about referring me to a haemotologist. I will let you know if they establish a link between it and the Aza.
Yes I will. Thank you for your interest.
Of your liver disease is cause by alcohol thats what is causing it. The most prevalent cause of macrosytosis is b12 defiency but alcohol is toxic to the bone marrow and also causes it.
