Post transplant itching
Hello... Have you had your bilirubin checked?? Do ask at next appointment...
Often it is caused by bile leakage or reaction to meds... Aqueous cream with menthol is great - needs to be kept cold though...

Yes, I have itching due to blocked bile ducts again.
I have intermittent itching around my ankles which occurs mostly during the winter, and a couple of small patches of what my doctor says is excema on my abdomen just below my scar.
My blood tests are fine. Last one in Dec 2014 where my bilirubin was 4. I just put it down to medication side effects. I'm not complaining, as I'd rather live with this small amount of itching post transplant than the whole body itching experienced whilst I was poorly! M.
I had really bad itching after my transplant due to rejection, now doing ok. I looked every where for something to stop it and then found a medicated powder called Lanacane. I checked with the Drs and it was ok to use. It does help a lot as it cools your skin down and stops the itch. It is worth a try. You can get it from local chemists and online. I hope this helps and works for you and anyone else. Good luck.
I get itching on my lower legs. I also put it down to drug side effects as my liver function tests are always fine,
