Hi my dad has go liver failure he has went into hospital due to be very ill they haven given him 6-12 months to live he is not eatting and is seeing things whuch aint there his speech is bad has aby one bin through this

Sounds like he maybe encephalopathic ???? My husband has the same - he is listed for transplant tho - does your dad have lactulose ??? And what dose xxxx

I agree with Robswife. If he has been placed on the transplant list you need to contact the unit urgently. I have had a transplant and had similar symptoms to your dad. I took lactulose and it did help.

Thank u they now put him on a ward of his own he wint take his tablets and is imaging things

Its the best place for him right now. Hopefully he'll be out soon, but if he wont take meds then he may progress his illness.

If hes still lucid, try to get a bucket list out of him or talk to him about things he likes to do, to gee him along. If he CBA then pls start prepare yourself because once some people are given a life timeline, they give up and pass away much more quickly. Hoping this wont happen.
