πJust started Week 3 of JuJuβs plan. I always have to jumble up the order of my runs, as due to work commitments and my speed, I need to ensure the longest run is on a weekend and the 5k is on a day where I can find 90min either first thing or lunchtime. This usually changes from week to week depending on meetings and availability of other colleagues.
π°Finding the time to run would of course all be easier if I werenβt a connoisseur of the ultra-slow run. Finding 30min in the day and another 30 to shower would be easier than having to make way - as I currently do - for a diary slot of a 5k & shower 90 min total.
π²π³But Iβm enjoying running on my wooded trails so much. Planning out each week by week ... who am I kidding, I love planning, so planning in my runs into my work schedule is rather a nice task. π
ππ»ββοΈAnd this morning, I had the opportunity to start work a bit later and indulge in one of my delightful and deliciously slow 5k runs!
πCold and clear skies, I had put on 2 layers of long sleeved tops, my sleeveless hoodie, and a scarf𧣠, gloves π§€, 2 layered socks 𧦠and my V1 vest.
ππAnd it was a great run. (Mind you, never in terms of speed). But I canβt believe that a 5k run is so easily done now. Itβs so delightful to fall into a rhythm, both rhythm of my feet and then rhythm of the music. Saying βhelloβ and βgood morningβ to the few dog walkers and runners. Enjoying the fog, the crispness of the air, the crunching of the leaves, as well as the squelching of some muddy sections.
πA beautiful 5k run on the first day of December! Happy running everyone!
