After a busy week, today was going to be a relaxing trot.
Run 2 this week was cut short as a car forced me over towards a ditch and I slightly rolled my ankle π€―. As I was unsure if I had done any damage I walked the remaining 2.5 km home.
So this morning was a test. Thankfully the ankle is fine. The run was good, and the weather was perfect, chilly, slightly damp and the smell of last night's fireworks still clinging to the air.
It was lovely to be out, seeing the sun coming up, feeling the chill in the air.
Misty start again this morning, I set off in my hi viz with flashing lights, felt a bit daft when the sun emerged and I was still flashing, the lights that is.
I love those misty mornings tends to keep dog walkers and cyclists indoors and the track is all mine.
I can smell that from here Jell! Love this time of year. When we were young my brother and I and our friends use to go out into the fields and pick up all the old fireworks. I canβt remember what we actually did with them but it was a bit of a competition to see who collected the most. I still love the smell of them.
Oddly enough I spoke to my brother today and mentioned this. He asked me if I remembered Bengal Matches, we used to have boxes of them on Bonfire Night.
We used to just go round striking them, they had a great smell, and were bright red or green.
