A smokey run🎆🎇

After a busy week, today was going to be a relaxing trot.

Run 2 this week was cut short as a car forced me over towards a ditch and I slightly rolled my ankle 🤯. As I was unsure if I had done any damage I walked the remaining 2.5 km home.

So this morning was a test. Thankfully the ankle is fine. The run was good, and the weather was perfect, chilly, slightly damp and the smell of last night's fireworks still clinging to the air.

It was lovely to be out, seeing the sun coming up, feeling the chill in the air.

Have a great day 🤩

Ahh thank you!, I think running has made me more of a drama queen than ever!, every niggle is a cause for concern ( to me at least 🤣)

Glad the ankle is OK.

Misty start again this morning, I set off in my hi viz with flashing lights, felt a bit daft when the sun emerged and I was still flashing, the lights that is.

I love those misty mornings tends to keep dog walkers and cyclists indoors and the track is all mine.

I was still lit up when I got in too 🤣, I did get some cheery greetings from a couple of cyclists, which is a good start to the day .

I can't imagine not running now, even when I don't particularly enjoy the run, odd how it gets hold of you isn't it!

I can smell that from here Jell! Love this time of year. When we were young my brother and I and our friends use to go out into the fields and pick up all the old fireworks. I can’t remember what we actually did with them but it was a bit of a competition to see who collected the most. I still love the smell of them.

Lovely photos but boo to the bad driver 😡🤬

🤣, my brother and his friend used to collect them, put them altogether and set them alight🤯🤯.

Health and safety wasn't really a big thing then.

Luckily nothing bad happened

Must ask my brother if he can remember what we did with them 🤔

Oddly enough I spoke to my brother today and mentioned this. He asked me if I remembered Bengal Matches, we used to have boxes of them on Bonfire Night.

We used to just go round striking them, they had a great smell, and were bright red or green.

Thanks for making me remember this!😘😘
