After yesterday's Strava fail, once again this morning I can't get my Strava to pick up any GPS signal on my Samsung Android phone, any one else had a similar issue?

Strava/GPS issues
I did last week! I have been using Strava for over a year with cycling and now running and then last week it went crazy! Would record the time but no distance then the time it recorded said I had run at 5 min per km ... that’s never going to happen 🤣🤣 I was going to delete it and install it again but then this week it’s back to normal! I hope yours rights itself
I had the same issues on my iPhone Chris. I ended up buying a second hand Garmin Forerunner 225 watch on eBay, no problems since then. Data gets downloaded to Garmin Connect App and Strava via Bluetooth.
You can set up interval training on it which is the basis of the early weeks of C25K 😊
The Strava app is totally unreliable, as a lot of us on here have found out! 🙄
I had problems this morning also! I started it recording, but it never said 'starting run' and was not talking to me! When l finished my run it had recorded it all. Fingers crossed it sorts itself out
I had lots of issues with the Strava app not recording data properly / dropping GPS, so moved over to Runkeeper, which has been good so far. But, am getting a Garmin for my birthday next month, as am fed up fiddling about with apps, and always having the fear they will fail me! I feel your pain, Chris!
Worth looking on eBay for a used Garmin. I did that and was lucky to get a hardly used Fenix 5s for about half price. Love it, wear it 24/7 and no GPS issues.
Have you got a watch you sync it with? It works best that way I think
I was having issues with Strava thinking I'd paused immediately after starting, so looked at the support website, where there's lots of whinging about many issues :-(. But a common, if feeble and unhelpful, response from the support team was that other apps running on the phone somehow steal Strava's GPS feed on occasion - i.e. it's the phone's operating system's fault not theirs - I was looking in the iPhone section but same may apply to Android?
I always run with a bog-standard stopwatch anyway, and have identified, using Google Maps satellite view and its distance measuring feature, where the 500m splits fall on my regular routes. The only trouble, given aged memory fade, is remembering the split times long enough to write them down at the end for the record ……
Maybe I should think about a clever watch - but then Dexy5 will need one too
Strava is really peeing me off at the moment...for some reason it takes me longer to do a km on Strava than it does on runkeeper...I started with it this morning & somehow it eventually caught up with runkeeper but my last run I turned it off whilst muttering expletives under my breath!! Don’t know what’s going on!!!
