Trastuzumab rejected by insurance company.

Hi All,

My father is suffering from metastatic stomach cancer and is undergoing chemotherapy consisting of Irinoctecan and Trastuzumab(Vivitra). Insurance company powered by MD India rejected my claim saying Trastuzumab is not covered under chemotherapic drug . Can somebody please help me as its very costly for me every 21 days.

I am not familiar with this drug or pricing in India, but have seen several posts on this site related to its use for breast cancer asking for information about dealing with the price. If you click on posts at the top of the page you can then do a search, just within this group, for discussions about it.
