Your Treating Oncologist is the only person who can guide you more. In your last week's queries, many people have already told you what can be done. Our request is, please go through your last week's queries and whatever other members have said, discuss with your Oncologist and do it. I am sure, your Oncologist, who has prescribed Trastuzumab, and must be prescribing many Trastuzumabs every month, will very well know what can be done. There is a very strong communication gap between you and your Oncologist. We suggest that you sit with him and discuss it out.

Hi KVLV,

I am facing the same problem with Oriental Insurance wherein the company is rejecting the standalone trastuzumab cycles stating that is an adjuvant therapy which is not covered under the day care treatment. Request you help or support on how to proceed forward in getting the claims approved from the insurance company

I am Deval Patel, a solicitor who has suffered the same misery at the hands of United India, my insurance company.

I have taken up this issue both with the Insurance Ombudsman and the IRDA.

Last week I have submitted a 200 page compilation, including opinions of Medical Oncologists, Articles on the criticality of Trastuzumab and Technical papers on the subject. I am waiting for their responses.

In the meantime, if you would like to receive updates on my crusade for the inclusion of Trastuzumab in insurance claims, please contact me by email with your case details on Deval1002@gmail.com.
