plureal effusion

Is plureal effusion after radiotherapy common. My mother in law is diagnosed with plureal effusion in x-ray after three months of radiotherapy. She do not have any problem of breathing but have chest pain since after 10 rounds of radiotherapy.

Pleural effusion doesn't happen due to radiotherapy. At least I do not think so. There could be other causes. I suggest you meet your Oncologist and let him assess whether it's only some very small effusion or something larger and needs attention.

she has mild plureal effusionas suggested by CT. She also have focal non-enhancing fissural thickening in right side. She do not feel pain normally but while sneezing aur coughing.
