I used to use quite a bit of makeup products before my breast cancer diagnosis. Now, I would like to know for what components/ingredients I should look out for on the labels..
Beauty products with what component sh... - Breast Cancer India
Beauty products with what component should be avoided
LookGoodFeelBetter.org has a section about makeup tips. This may not be what you are looking for (maybe something about actual ingredients?) but the information is a good place to start. There is no group in India, but there is some interest in trying to start one. Meanwhile the videos and explanations are very helpful. I found out how to deal with my thinned out eyebrows there, as they have just never fully recovered from cytoxan.
Oh we dont get back our eyebrows
I believe most people get their eyebrows back. I was being treated with Cytoxan alone for leukemia (breast cancer was my second cancer, but required surgery and radiation only) which caused my eyebrows to thin. I did not lose my hair, as some do on this drug, and I have eyebrows, but they never came back fully. A little makeup fixes things. Given all of the possibilities, this is one I can easily live with.
There is a good thread discussing this following a post by Sango about beauty Products. Down a way in the comments she mentions a couple of resources that she found.
Hi
I too had the similar issues at the start of chemo. We've had ( as Pkenn has mentioned) a long discussion over it with inputs from fellow members. The post also has links which I've found useful .Hope it helps .
