Low WBC

My mother is on a weekly chemo cycle (a week's gap after 3 rd chemo) for 12 chemos. She couldn't take her 6th chemo because of low WBC. Doc has advised to now make it 2 with a week'so break. Will this impact the treatment ?

No, don't worry. Many patients have a significant fall in the WBC count and many a time, it becomes necessary to delay the chemo. It's fine, don't bother about that. Concentrate on her well being and her symptoms, which will help her get out of this.

Agree with Sumeet.

This should have no impact on treatment (outcome) in your particular setting .

The Herceptin should continue on a 3 weekly basis irrespective of low WBC. Presumably she had it on cycle 1 and cycle 4, and now needs it at cycle 7 along with Abraxane or Paclitaxel that she is currently on.

This Herceptin is lifelong or until progression of her cancer.
