After radiation thearpy, Some thick skin , or we can say mass appear?

My mom under went breast cancer surgery followed by chemo and radiation (15 radiation). Now after few weeks of radiation she is feeling some mass and thick skin in that area. Is it normal side effect ?

Yes even now I feel it like leathery skin.

All patients who have undergone radiation will have some skin thickening and its very much normal. Some have less, some have more. It might even increase initially for a few months and then slowly settle down. In case there is any doubt, it would be best to visit your local surgeon and take his opinion. In any case, this thickening is common and I don't think there should be any reason to worry. Just keep a watch.
