Hi rgci, hope you doing fine and hope your chemo is going perfectly well.

How was your Diwali? Hope you had your share of sweets!

Also, I believe, you love driving a lot. So do you go out occasionally for a nice drive in between your chemo dates?

Hey ma'am. Hii. Hope you doing great.

I know everything will come alright in PET.

Will try to meet you sometime, though I thought of meeting to you many times before also but couldn't make it out. Busy with exams and studies.

But will surely try to meet you.

Tc . All the best.

Yes all is well. The chemo were given through the veins. My sister is still facing problem on her leg. The wound is healing very slowly - doctor is advising if not healed will have to go for skin grafting. Tense again for the surgery as now do not have any more stamina now

Skin grafting is not a major surgery as such, so don't worry. It has shrunk well, I believe, your sister had spoken to me some time ago. How big is the area which has still not healed?

Kontac - does your sister see a wound specialist? My mother had trouble with wounds not healing. I was recently in my pharmacy when a woman came in and asked for honey for wounds. I have read about the benefits of honey in a hot drink or just eaten for infections, but believe it has to be raw honey and that is not advised for immune compromised patients, so not for me because of my leukemia, and not probably a good idea for someone getting chemo. She told me that she works for a wound specialist and that tough doctor she works for uses it all of the time. It might be worth having your sister ask her doctor, and checking to see if it is sold there in a formula specifically for wounds. The next time I'm at the pharmacy I will try to remember to look at the ingredients and to ask my pharmacist about it. I have an amazing pharmacist.

the doctor - I hate auto correct and have discovered that HU will not let me go back to fix things.

Thanks P Kenn - the wound is of the chemo which was given thro veins. The chemo was leaked hence problem. Actually 2 to 3 layers of skin are effected - the recovery is very very slow - or otherwise the doctor are advising for skin grafting. Sister is literally worried to have any more surgeries. Hence waiting to heal

hi everyone and rgci

pray to god that every thing will be ok with you and u be perfectly alright.

i m ok. just i see u and your recurrence. I remember we were behind u. But feel very tensed looking at u and have a feeling whether i will have recurrence

We all will pray for rgci. Prayers do work, and that's where we are all together. Let thoughts of recurrences not bother you, shirdi. It's very difficult, I know. Even if there is a small, non specific swelling on the tip of a finger, my patients rush to me, as they are afraid, that could that be cancer. So I can very well understand. But try to engross yourself in your daily activities and thoughts will not bother you much.

You are most welcome, shirdi.

Time and again, these thoughts will disturb us. We have to learn how to get them out of our mind and try to focus on something else.

All will be fine, don't worry

Shirdi be brave - we have to fight the cancer. Now you have to take care of the baby. ENJOY BABY A LOT - see as we cannot remember our childhood this is the only chance we can see & feel its our childhood.

Well said kontak. Seeing a baby grow up is the best way to relish our own childhood. Seeing the innocence in a child's play is probably the greatest gift of God.
