The Breast cancer awareness month ends tomorrow. For this whole moth, on our FB page ( facebook.com/icanfightit ), we had one cover with a message every second day. This makes it 16 in all. The last cover, for tomorrow, is a tribute to breast cancer patients, and I wish to share it here -

Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

FB Cover theme for October 31, 2013: A tribute... (See cover above)

A disease so aggressive.

A treatment so heavy, it bogs down the body, the mind, the family.

A fear so stark, looming all the time.

A treatment time so unending.

For those who haven't seen a cancer, you have to be with one cancer patient to witness what it feels!

It takes real courage and an unbending will power to complete the treatment and come out a winner! We want to let each and every breast cancer patient know, that they have been a winner, in the true spirit!!

Over the last 50 years, there has been a tremendous progress in the science of understanding and treating breast cancer. And EACH and EVERY breast cancer patient, knowingly or unknowingly, has contributed to this progress, which has resulted in women suffering from breast cancer surviving much longer today. So a very sincere tribute to all these silent heroes in their own respect.

And remember, every cancer patient is very precious. And why? Because that cancer patient is a warrior and has saved so many lives. How? 1 in 30 women are likely to suffer from breast cancer (just an example). So if one lady gets breast cancer, indirectly, she has saved 29 other ladies from getting this disease! Never forget that.

Salute.

Dr Sumeet - marvellous efforts from your side. Salute to you from all of us

Being a patient ,it is really surprising for me that how all this a doctor can understand what is going in our minds.I feel oncologists are somewhat different professionals, they are not only treating the disease they are also treating a person.

Thanks for the encouragement and best wishes for all your efforts.
