MRI Guided Breast Biopsy

I've just been told that I need an MRI Guided Breast Biopsy, my local hospital doesn't do these, but my consultant is struggling to find somewhere than can do it.

Does anyone know of any hospitals that do this procedure? Has anyone had this done? I don't mind travelling anywhere in the UK.

I'd welcome any information please, thanks.

Hi, I had it done in the Bristol a royal Infirmary 2 years ago, agree not pleasant but effective. Was told after my mastectomy that the biopsy had got rid of all traces of the tumour and my body showed an immune response.

Hopefully you’ll find a hospital near you,

Good luck with your treatment,

Nix x

Thank you all for your replies, my consultant has managed to sort one out for the 24th July, but I'll pass the information on to him on Monday. Can't say I'm looking forward to it, but it has to be done. Hope you've all recovered after your treatment. x
