I’ve finished treatment now 👍🏻but obviously have to go for yearly mammogram my question is will the mammogram be from the date cancer was found or from the end of treatment xx
Just a quick ?: I’ve finished treatment... - My Breast Cancer ...
Just a quick ?
This is something that might vary depending on where you live and your age - because I don’t think there is a hard and fast rule or research to back it up. In my case, I saw my surgeon after the radiotherapy ended and it was five years from then.
I have mammogram every year . Stay safe x
Mine are about the date of the one that was do e and then I got the dreaded recall letter
My friend is the same she was diagnosed 3 months after I finished treatment but we live close and went to same hospitals...
Mine is done in the month I was diagnosed.
I get yearly mammograms around the same time of mammogram in which my cancer was found.
My first mammo was in September, and every one since has been in September
Thanks everyone hopefully I can go back to work in September I work as a school chef but classed as extremely clinically vulnerable with other health issues so I am shielding fingers crossed we can return to some kind of normal by then. My yearly appointment from my last mammogram would be December
My first one was due on April, that was a year after diagnosis, but with covid going on it was pushed back to last Wednesday. Got the results 10 days later to say also clear, stay safe x
Mine is the same month as my surgery, I think it just depends, just make sure you keep an eye on dates, and phone, if you haven’t received an appointment, near the time you think. Good luck.
My friend was due to have her mammo July/August (when she was diagnosed) and has just had phone call to arrange date - she has to go to a different hospital which is no problem just a bit further ( we are fortunate living in North West London) where hospitals are linked so I think it bodes well for me for next Feb/March when mine are due.
take care - if like me you will never forget the date you were diagnosed and operated on.....
