Been on tamoxifen now for 4.5 years and had various side effects. About 6 weeks ago I have some abnormal vagina bleeding and doctors were great in getting it checked out. Got my results today and they are all clear, just causes by thinning of lining of womb. This has made any sort of physical relationship impossible as it is too painful. Unfortunately can’t get anything for it either. Have tried Sylk and Yes.
Not looking for advise, I’m just feeling sad that at 54 i am relegated to a life in singledom. X

Don't give up .i too (because of tamoxifen) had abnormal bleeding to the stage of having a hysterectomy in January. Now with vaginal gel lovelife is back to normal. I've been embaressed with discussing some of the things gynaecologist but I've learnt so much .
Hi Maz hope you doing ok I had bleeding like a period 8 weeks into taking Tamoxifen then it stopped that was 5 years ago haven’t had anymore bleeds hope this is some help to you
Maz. Never say never . I had breast cancer complete with mastectomy and am 7 years on tamoxifen and that on top of emergency hysterectomy all at age of 50 ... side effects of tamoxifen are hard especially thinning skin and all the menopausal symptoms - but you are still a wonderful amazing, brave and resilient woman and you will over time rediscover your sex life .. hey and for what it’s worth I am 57 been single for nearly 20 years - never expected it .. but it’s given me freedom to do things I never otherwise would have done .. including going to live in Argentina for a year ! Singledom has merits - take care
Thank you ElleeB. I know you are right... the side effects of the chemo and the tamoxifen are hard at times but i have made it this far, Just need to focus on some positives and now thinking of taking early retirement next year and focussing on mex
