Now 2 weeks 2 days after the mastectomy

And back from a delicious seafood lunch down at the harbour in Shell Bay with family .

Coming home there’s a cushion under my arm where the drain was so guess it’s fluid gathered there , so will get someone to check it out . Lots of boats in the harbour today and a great view through the windows

Cheerful chat was so nice , and I’m pleased to have managed to keep to my diet although it was touch and go with panna cotta on the menu. And chocolate brownies ! From what I know once on chemo , it might rule out having an appetite? Xx Denise

Hi Denise what a lovely post and lunch! Well done. As for diet, I believe a little of what you fancy does you good.

Yes swelling is probably a seroma but I urge you to get everything thing that occurs checked out IN PERSON because my nurses missed an internal bleed by telling me the swelling was the ‘normal heal8ng process’ and scar tissue forming.....no it was an encapsulated haematome - not scare mongering because it does happen tho is rare but good to let your surgeon know.

All the best
