What a huge difference a week makes . After treatment for a drain site infection , the pain has gone , as has the drain , no further severe burning down my rt arm and life seems good . Out for lunch on The weekend and driving my car yesterday for shopping .

The next phase will start tonight after seeing the oncologist to decide what’s the follow up treatment .

All thanks and best health wishes to all you warriors fighting your battles so bravely . Xx Denise

Hi Denise

So so pleased to hear you are feeling better and driving already! Hope the news is good from the oncologist 🤞.

I am still not healed, almost 9 wks post op, but getting there slowly. Hopefully my radiotherapy can start at the end of October and I have Tamoxifen prescription.

Hope you continue to go from strength to strength.

All the best

Dear CM . Lovely to hear from you . I m sorry to hear you are still in the healing process and wish you the best for a speed up ... I accredit a lot of my recovery( only the mastectomy then infection) to my radical change of diet to vegan with no milk yoghurt meat sugar , with added vitamins and minerals daily . I’ve not been able to enjoy food really but it does seem to help . Do you read or watch eg Netflix or tv? If you’d like any magazines I’ll happily send you some .. this whole thing certainly knocks our confidence .. I’m hoping I can manage the next process whatever is decided. Thinking of you xx

Hi

I am watching lots of tv, doing crosswords, jigsaws and reading both magazines and books.

Friends and family pop in regularly, but I am really fed up now. Just want to get on with the rest of my treatment.

You will manage whatever is coming next, you sound a strong brave lady and you will get through it as we all have to.

Keep in touch xx

Good morning CM . Just wondering how you are getting on ? I hope the nice sunny days are a help . I had a good few days , out with family and grandchildren on Sunday , meeting an old friend from NZ on Monday ( for lunch at Winchester) then yesterday my daughters birthday . Driving is tiring but liberating ! The fluid under my arm and op site is increasing and uncomfortable but might be tested today ! Hooray! Have a good day xx Denise

Hi Denise, good to hear from you and glad you're getting out and about despite being uncomfortable.

I am driving now too which makes such a difference, but still not healed.

Had my planning scan and tattoos done on Monday ready for radiotherapy which oncologist is hoping can start at the end of Oct, fingers crossed.

Hope you get some relief soon from the fluid build up.

Take care

Hi Denise this is great news, I’m really pleased that it has been sorted for you now. You do indeed sound like you are working with as opposed to against, which is a bonus but also I believe a PMA has its own brand of healing power. Impressed at your change of diet, I don’t have the strength to change mine although I am just about getting back to no alcohol (didn’t drink during chemo) hI o it doesn’t suit my husband blues him who has a beer like normal people have a cup of tea. Perhaps that’s what gave him the strength to support me thro my treatments last year.

I am inspired! I will now go and read y Ur other posts.

Keep well xx

Good morning Debster . How are you ? I hope you have a peaceful nice day and enjoy the good weather if possible . Apart from increasing fluid around the op site which needs aspirating hopefully today , I’m fine . 3 busy days ; outing to Upton House with family and grandchildren , lunch with old friend from NZ, Monday and birthday lunch with my youngest ( pregnant) daughter yesterday . A bit weary today though ! The diet is going well, and certainly is helping . Best wishes for good health and a pleasant day xx Denise
