Breast compression
Thanks for posting that. I've been having trouble with my wound area with fluid build up after anything but milder movement. I've had success wrapping my chest area with a bandage but it causes some discomfort. I think I will ask for a referral to the lymphoedema clinic.
Hi I’m Helen, I’ve had lymph node clearance, 6 weeks ago, following chemo and have serious fluid (seroma) build up. Drain fo first week now needing drainage once a week. Any ideas? Radiotherapy next, will fluid buildup delay radiotherapy. Any advice greatly appreciated. Also shoulder movement painful.
Hi Helen, sorry but I can't really advise on how to deal with your seroma except contact oncology and or breast care nurse, and possibly ring the Lymphodema Support Network on 0207 7351 4480, the one thing I have had experience of is when I had my radiotherapy my right arm which had complete node clearance got very stiff, when treatment finished I was referred for physio which I ended up attending twice, but over time I regained full movement, good luck with your continuing journey x
Thanks Jennymary, thanks for replying I will contact that number. I am finding this more difficult than chemo and now have a breast infection so his phone number is a godsend.
Good luck to you too. x
