Nervous waiting

Had scan on 1st August but was called back for a further scan on right breast the following week. It has been 2weeks and I am becoming more and more anxious - should I contact the clinic or wait patiently for the results.

I am a bit like that after scans and usually I contact them after a week. Good luck I hope the scan was clear of anything sinister for you xxx

Hello . was it a mammogram or another scan ? When I had my second mammogram they could see there was a problem and progressed matters there and then , giving me an ultra sound and two biopsies in the same appointment . They guided me through it and gave me an appointment for the result a week later . What did they tell you about the timescales for the results ?

Hi there. At the start of it all for me I had my 1st recall 2 weeks after my first mammogram at which I had an ultrasound and biopsy and I was given my next appt for the results which was a week later before I left the hospital,

It's up to you but I would be chasing results after 2 weeks. Have you been given any info about why you were recalled? I was told it was because a shadow had been noticed but because it was my first mammogram it could simply be because there was no previous scan to compare to so it didn't necessarily mean being recalled was a bad thing. As it turned out was for me but I'm still here! Treatment completed! And getting on with things 😊👍🏻. I hope your results are good.

Best wishes xx

Thank you all for your help. Will contact the clinic today and hopefully it will simply have been an oversight on their part. Thanks again.xx

If you're worried, by all means call, call, call and call again. It's your health on the line. I will say though, in my experience, no news is good news. It's when your doctor dials you only moments after the scan you need to really be concerned. Good luck!
